Last Christmas: Movie Review
By: Pauline De Asis
The Last Christmas may look like your typical holiday rom-com movie, but it actually has something deeper for us to takeaway. It is a very heart-warming movie for those who entirely lost hope and are still hopeful when it comes to love. There are a lot of scenes that will tickle you’re hearts and some that will make you smile or cry a little.
The lead stars offer a palpable chemistry throughout with Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding keeping the flow of momentum smoothly making the entire film affecting at all times. They both brought the characters to life in a unique and memorable way with Kate (Clarke) dealing with her own issues, but ideally it would change when she met Tom (Golding) who is very charming and has a positive mindset. We also loved the inclusion of Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson, who both showed the veteran power and added flavor to the set of stars shining on the screen.
What we also loved about the movie is that, it is thought-provoking for those who are struggling in life. They featured a lot of George Michael songs that actually made our hearts melt as we really felt that Christmas is already near.
Overall, Last Christmas is definitely a must watch movie that is light, romantic and a perfect fit for the upcoming holiday season. It has the heart, spirit and message that will leave the viewers smiling when the movie is over.
