Metro Manila Film Festival won't be complete if they did not include a horror movie in it and to make it more interesting, Viva Films together with Aliud Entertainment brings us a Yam Laranas film starring the very talented Anne Curtis in Aurora.
This marks the comeback for Director Yam Laranas on the MMFF stage with his last masterpiece "Sigaw" (2004) graced into the international stage with a Hollywood adaptation "The Echo" in 2008. He is excited to give the Filipino audience another spectacular horror film that will definitely give us the chills and reason to enjoy a family movie-time bonding starting this Christmas Day. He stated that there are a lot of surprises and twists to expect here, and he wishes that Anne could take home the Best Actress trophy.
After a tearjerker in "Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story" and hardcore action in "Buybust" Anne Curtis now entered the horror realm with her third film this year Aurora. She will once again showcase her talents and will prove her versatility in acting. Aurora already is making waves with its decent trailer and promises that your money won't be wasted with this high-quality film offering to close the year.
After the ship, Aurora, sunk near their island, everybody knows that their hometown is doomed. But after Leana (Anne Curtis) made a deal with the families of the missing passengers, she and her 8-year old sister, Rita (Phoebe Villamor), choose to stay in the island and keep their hotel open in case any of the dead bodies will be washed ashore. However, as days go by, ghost begin to bother and haunt their seemingly normal life in the island.
