Hotel Transylvania 3: A Monster Vacation (Movie Review)
Mavis (Selena Gomez) wants to give his dad Dracula (Adam Sandler), a vacation to remember as she wants an entire family bonding and take a break from running their hotel. She set up a surprise cruise vacation together their monster friends. Here, Dracula meets the beautiful Erika (Kathryn Hann) who happens to be the captain of the ship. However, Erika hides a mysterious secret that could put every monster one step closer to extinction.
The third film for this animated franchise is still visually pleasing and had that charming characters to inject entertainment value not only for the kids but also for the kids at heart. It has a simplistic plot line and pretty had the same value of comedy like from the previous two installments. However, the Drac pack must need to unveil some new schemes if they want to continue and expand for a couple or more sequels in the future.
The reliable voice casts is still there in providing more charm and color to these beloved monsters. Adam Sandler has been doing a lot of lazy comedy film for the past few years and yet; this franchise managed to keep him afloat. He is entertaining as Dracula, but he exaggerates it a bit at times. Selena Gomez is adorable as ever voicing Mavis while the rest of the Drac pack continues to lend their lively voices with conviction.
Overall, Hotel Transylvania 3 has the right amount of formula to captivate its audience. It just needs a few tweaks to spark it up before it completely loses its steam, but it is still an entertaining animated film for the whole family to enjoy.
