My Rebound Girl: Movie Review

By: Matt Suzara Rocky (Alex Gonzaga), struggles to find the right person as her past relationships didn't end well. She promised herself not to experience the same heartaches from her previous partners and made a list on how not to be a rebound girl. However, all of her made-up rules didn't work out when she met Rich (Joseph Marco) who also came from a break-up with his six-year relationship. At first, Rocky purely hates Rich but as the time goes by, she eventually falls in love with him even she knows that she could be hurt again because of the same situation. My Rebound Girl looks promising in the trailer but the thing is, it is really frustrating to watch. You have two charming lead stars in the mix, but it seems that they had a hard time to sell their chemistry. Some of the scenes feel forced, and some are just plainly weird. The comedy isn't much good either and even the story is simple they made it too complicated resulting to make the film's run time

“THE ACCOUNTANT” Has a Dark Secret Life in Riveting New Thriller

“ It’s always compelling when people have secrets—when you think someone is one thing and then discover they’re something else entirely,” says Gavin O’Connor, director of the upcoming thriller “The Accountant” from Warner Bros. Pictures. That is certainly the case with the title character of “The Accountant.” At first glance, math savant Christian Wolff seems to be nothing more than a storefront CPA, right down to his spreadsheets and pocket protector. However, his usual clientele are among the world’s most powerful crime lords, and his mild-mannered demeanor and somewhat innocuous appearance belie the fact that he may be more dangerous than any of them. Ben Affleck, who stars in the role, notes, “The story speaks to the duality in all of us. It might be easy to pigeonhole a guy like Chris, but we find out he’s capable of much more than you imagine.” The actor goes on to reveal that there is another unexpected wrinkle to Christian, who is able to crunch more than jus

Evans, Theroux, Ramirez: The Men of “GIRL ON THE TRAIN”

Luke Evans (“Fast & Furious” franchise), Justin Theroux (“The Leftovers”) and Edgar Ramirez (“Deliver Us from Evil”) provide the masculine presence in the female-centric tale, “The Girl on the Train” from Paramount Pictures. The film also stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson and Haley Bennett. Based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel, “The Girl on the Train” is directed by Tate Taylor (“The Help”) and adapted for the screen by Erin Cressida Wilson. In the film, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds. To cast the two key male roles was just as crucial, according to producer Marc Platt. “It’s interesting to be involved in a film that’s so female-centric,” he says. “Usually, it’s the guys who are more complicated and then

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children: Movie Review

By: Matt Suzara Jake (Asa Butterfield), grew up listening to a lot of fascinating stories from his grandfather. However, after his grandfather's mysterious death, Jake head on to Wales to find some answers. This leads him to find Miss Peregrine (Eva Green) who is the guardian of a group of peculiar children. At first, Jake is told that he also has a peculiarity but didn't know exactly what or how to use it. Meanwhile, the leader of the hollowgasts (Samuel L. Jackson) continues to hunt down peculiar children to gain immortality and Jake's natural gift can be the game changer to end their wicked plans. Once again, Tim Burton transports his viewers to another extraordinary world that he already mastered in his films through the years. It is another dark tale that comes to life but this time; the film can't carry its weight throughout the entire time. It's couldn't sustain the momentum and deliver big time when it's mostly needed. It gets pretty tediou

Seth Rogen Pranks Grocery Shoppers For “SAUSAGE PARTY”

Columbia Pictures' new raunchy, R-18-rated animated comedy “Sausage Party” opens in the Philippines on Sept. 28 and imagines what it would be like if the food in our grocery aisles was alive. The movie is hilarious, twisted and outrageous, but that wasn’t enough for Seth Rogen. In addition to bringing talking foods to the big screen, he also wanted to bring them to a real life grocery store with a hilarious and creepy Sausage Party prank. A special effects team set up a few different animatronic foods in a real New York grocery store and Seth Rogen made them talk live from another room. The initial shock of people realizing they’re seeing talking food is funny in itself, but then the conversations they have with the food in question are even better. Watch the Sausage Party Grocery Store Prank video below:  “ Sausage Party” is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happ
